I prefer the brush work on this one. I gessoed a small sheet o canvas then attached it to an acrylic panel (Think Plexiglas®) I will try more like this in the future.

I thought that the jelly jar would be a good second object in this composition. When I finished I realized that it was a little creepy. Maybe it's the title that's creepy. Sorry I couldn't resist being a little creepy I've been in the studio a little too long.

I was on a roll so I did another one of the same still life. Notice I didn't have any of the wine.
Maybe if I had it would have been a bit too loose. I do like the shadow of the apple better in this one.

It's been a while. I have been painting just not posting. I thought I would try something different than oranges. I guess it is hard to break old habits. The real goal of this painting was to work on the white bowl

This oil was first worked out as a sketch on my ipad with ArtRage. I am thinking I will try more sketches this way as it helps work out the layering.
